In Search of the Tide - Original Acrylic Painting 36"x48" unframed

This gorgeous vibrant landscape painting is an interpretation of a poem written by the artist's father a poet named Brian Keith McCormick. The painting named after the poem pays tribute to her late father imagined in the rowboat. It also looks to the future with homes for all four of her sons. The cozy cabins sprinkled along the water were each selected with specific family members in mind. This imaginary landscape includes whimsical wildlife such as busy beavers, a buck and a horse. The words to the poem were written on the canvas and in some places still peek out from behind the thinner layers of paint in the clouds. This is a one-of-a-kind unique glimpse into the artist's family life. The end of the poem has become her mantra "Rejoice and Do Good".
